Welcome to the Staple User Guide. You can follow this guide step-by-step to understand the functionalities of Staple.
Staple has designed the user interface (UI) for intuitive navigation and use. However, for a first time user, it can still be a lot to take in.
In this guide, we outline the basics of the user interface with how, and why, it should be used to automate data processing workflows. Although this guide is intended to be comprehensive, we always recommend users arrange a call with Staple for guidance on the UI and to ask any questions.
The primary use of the UI is to view and process the extraction of data from documents. The UI's purpose is to review, check and/or correct the extracted data from documents.
In most cases, documents are sent to the interface using an API integration. In such cases, the system may have been organized such that only documents which are not 100% accurate are visible in the UI. This is a deliberate design choice: it allows the user to only deal with anomalous documents where not all data is extracted.
A user interacts with the UI to achieve two primary goals:
In short, the more the UI is used, the less it will be needed. Its use improves the models over time.
