Setup matching

Among the stream of documents and data, a user may want to find or match specific data from documents. This is facilitated by using the “Matching” section on the staple website. The data from a document can be found and matched with another document by setting a filter that catches the requested data.

Initializing Matching Queue

Step 1: To create a Matching queue, users need to go to the “Matching” section.

Step 2:  Here, the “+ Matching Queue” button initiates the creation of a match filter. Once the button is clicked, A pop-up shows up.

Step 3.1: First, we enter the queue name. Next, we set the matching rules. To do so, you need to select at least two Queues from the already existing queues list on the left. At most 5 queues can be selected.

Step 3.2: The selected queues are visible under the Matching queue name as a table. The “ + New comparison rule” button is for setting a new rule. This inserts a new row in the table. The dropdown under the selected queue names list the fields present in the documents. The user selects the fields or table to be matched.

Step 3.3: For tables, a new button named  “ + New table comparison rule ” adds a segment in the row for each field in the table. If the user wishes not to match a field to another corresponding field, they can select the option of “Do not match” from the drop down

The bin icon is used for deleting the comparison rule while the list icon is used for setting a rule type.

Setting rules (aka) “Actions”  for each row will be discussed in the next post.
