Connect & Operate

Capturing data accurately is only half the job. The value is realized when verified data lands in the right system, in the right shape, at the right time, with no manual re-keying in between. Connect and Deliver is the part of the Staple platform that moves processed data out to where the business actually runs, and connects the systems that feed documents in. It sits after the Data Layer and the Trust Layer, and it covers four jobs: connecting to enterprise systems, delivering structured data, routing documents to the right queue and team, and generating documents from data.

Connection Runs Both Ways

Connect is not only an outbound step. Documents reach Staple over the API, S3, SFTP, monitored email inboxes, shared drives, portals, and file sync, so a business keeps sending documents the way it already does, and verified data flows back out over the same connective layer. Under the hood this is built from dedicated nodes in the process graph, HTTP nodes that export data to a destination and webhook nodes that fire an event the moment something happens, so both directions are configured explicitly rather than bolted on. See Process Routing for how those nodes fit together.

Enterprise Integrations

Staple ships pre-built connectors for SAP ERP, SAP Concur, SAP Business One, SAP S/4HANA, and SAP Ariba, plus Yonyou BIP and Yonyou OA, Oracle, and Coupa, with no middleware required. Crucially, delivery into these systems is not a raw dump: Staple resolves the document's values against the destination's own master data before it posts, for example matching a vendor and selecting the correct address record so an invoice posts against the right remittance details rather than being rejected or misrouted. See Enterprise Integrations for the full list and the SAP integration detail.

Structured Data Delivery

Verified data is delivered as CSV, JSON, XLSX, or structured XML and UBL for e-invoicing, over API, webhook, or export, and the webhook payload is identical to what the API export returns. Delivery happens after reconciliation, so what leaves Staple is data that has already been matched and checked, not raw extraction. See Structured Data Delivery and the API documentation.

Document Routing

Queue rules apply validation, set values, and routing after scanning, so each document reaches the right team and system automatically, and exceptions go to a reviewer with the reason attached rather than flowing onward unchecked. Every move between queues is recorded, so a downstream system sees a document's full path, not just where it landed. See Process Routing.

Document Generation

Staple can generate a PDF or a structured e-invoice from data you supply, over the API, and place it back into a queue as a normal document, so a produced document inherits the same validation and delivery path as one that arrived from outside. See PDF and Document Generation.

Residency Enforced Where Data Moves

Because Connect and Deliver is where data crosses system and regional boundaries, residency is enforced here as infrastructure. Regional endpoints span Singapore, the EU, the US, and China, and a document tagged for one jurisdiction is blocked from being routed out of it at the egress boundary rather than caught in a review afterward. Delivered data can also carry a Metastructured Data envelope, so the receiving system can verify the values were not altered in transit.

Why No Middleware Matters

Every integration platform inserted between capture and the system of record is another component to license, monitor, and blame when a posting fails. Because Staple connects directly to the enterprise systems it supports, there is no intermediary mapping layer to maintain and no second place a payload can silently break. The mapping, the format, and the routing all live in one platform, which means when a mandate or a schema changes there is a single place to update rather than a chain of brittle handoffs. That is what keeps the last mile from becoming the most fragile part of the pipeline.

What Connect And Deliver Does Not Do

Staple delivers verified data and documents into your systems. It does not replace your ERP or your system of record, and it does not require a separate integration platform to sit in between. It connects to what you already run.

Proven In Production

A global technology leader in semiconductors with operations in China and Malaysia needed validated invoice data to flow into SAP Concur under local VAT and SST tax rules. Staple validated each e-invoice against local tax authorities and delivered it into SAP Concur without middleware. Across deployments, Staple runs for Fortune 100 companies and global financial institutions in 60 countries at a 100% deployment success rate.
